Headrest Summary

UPDATED 9/2024

No headrests were required on USA or Canadian cars before 1969 1/2 models. However, Citroën offered a variety of optional headrests in earlier years that sometimes showed up on North American cars. The headrests in the following photos are the ones that were used by Citroën to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) #202 which became required as of 01 January 1969.
